The new version of my Twitter tutorial is nearing completion and I hope to have the final draft ready within the next week. I’ve been working on this one on and off for a month. It’s taken a long time because of… too many excuses to remember.

What’s changed in the revised third edition? A lot… and a little… actually it shouldn’t even be called a revised edition it’s more of a complete revamp. Some of the old content was no longer applicable for the “new” Twitter and quite a bit of new functionality has been added to Twitter. I’ve stuck to the tried and true format of keeping it a quick-start guide for the beginner and we’ll see if that still holds true.

I can also blame my delays (isn’t it nice to find new excuses?) on creating a new avatar for the blog and Twitter and a new background for @twittaroid. So it’s not just the tutorial that’s getting a revamp, but this blog too. I first did a new theme from scratch and then opted out of that to purchase a ready made theme that I’m busy modding at the moment. I’ve also been testing new plugins for the blog that will hopefully simplify life and make content creation easier. One of those is finally taking the time to enable comment spam filtering. That helped weed out all the spam that was driving me nuts and deterring me from blogging.

Is this deja vu all over again? I had many plans for this blog way back in 2007, then again in 2009… and now more plans for 2011. Seems like the two-year itch has bitten me again (and I have more free time on my hands now ) So now the question is… will I finally follow through?  Time will tell…
